ANA MUÑOZ 

Born in Madrid, Ana Muñoz trained at the Escuela Central de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos (central school of applied arts and the artistic professions), before entering Madrid’s Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (San Fernando fine arts academy) in 1969.  Alter completing her studies, she travelled widely throughout France and Italy.

Ana Muñoz’s work has been exhibited in Spain’s most renowned galleries and at numerous events in several countries.

• 1978:      1ST PLACE, ‘BLANCO Y NEGRO’ MAGAZINE NATIONAL PAINTING AWARD
• 1981:      1ST PLACE, 6TH CITY OF ZAMORA BIENNIAL FINE ARTS AWARD
• 1983:      1ST PLACE, MARÍA BLANCHARD PAINTING AWARD, ORGANISED BY GALERÍAS PRECIADOS
• 1987:      MEDAL OF HONOUR, BMW INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
• 2013:  PRIMER PREMIO DE PINTURA EN LA ACADEMIA DE ARTES Y LETRAS DE S. ANTÓN
• 2018: SELECCIONADA EN EL 53 PREMIO DE PINTURA Y ESCULTURA REINA SOFÍA.
